Started in 1987, Meat Research is sponsored by China Meat Food Research Center. The journal is an official publication published monthly in Chinese with an ISSN number of 1001-8123 and a CN number of 11-2682/TS. Meat Research as an authoritative peer-reviewed publication in China focuses on both theoretical and technological advances. The journal has been consecutively recognized as Chinese Core Scientific Journal by Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China (ISTIC) in 2011–2013, and it has been listed in the 2014 and 2017 edition of Peking University’s Guide to Chinese Core Journals. The journal’s full text is included in Chinese Core Journal Database, Chinese Journal Full-text Database, Chinese Scientific Journal Database, China Journal Net and FSTA. The journal covers the following sections: fundamental research; processing technologies; quality and safety; packaging, transportation and storage; analysis and testing; and review articles.
