Abstract Canada has developed fairly sophisticated legal and standard systems of meat and meat products, which are
able to control production and processing effectively and ensure food quality and safety. This article describes the existing
legal and standard systems concerning meat and meat products in Canada and summarizes their characteristics, expecting
to provide some references and revelation for formulating and improving Chinese legal systems and standards for meat and
meat products.
