Abstract As the high rank products,the veal was very much welcomed by consumers in the west.This paper introduced European countries had taken some effective measures in order to protect the animal welfare and classification of veal.Such experiences would help the veal production in China by utilizing the abundant surplus male calf resources of dairy production.
