Abstract The technologies and devices of electricals timulation have been widely used abroad in sheep slaughteringp rocessingf orp roducingp roductions of tender lamb meat prevented from cold short-ening during carcass chill in chilling room. Since 1970’s,therea re severale lectrical stimulation systems or devices,including Extra Low Voltage ElectricalS timulation(ELVE),MidV oltageE lectrical Stimulation(MVES) and High Voltage Electrical Stimulation(HVES),which have completely been developeda nd used in Australia,New Zealand,Europe and USA.The features and specifications of elec-trical stimulation systems and devices and its applications in foreign sheeps laughter houses as well as the latest developments are briefly introduced in this paper,and it will be useful information for domestic sheeps laughter houses.
