Abstract New Zealand is leading in advanced technology and equipment of sheep slaughtering in the world.First the brief history of pelt puller development for sheep slaughtering in New Zealand was introduced,and then the performances and characters of Brisket Roller,Flanking Tool,Shoulder Puller and Final Puller,which are widely used in sheep slaughterhouses in New Zealand now,were mainly described,finally the method of performance evaluations of pelt pullers was given in this paper.
