Abstract：EPA and DHA are important unsaturated fatty acids in the body which have many important
physiological functions,playing an important role in human and animal growth and health .This paper
describes the physiological functions, separation and extraction methods of EPA and DHA and the research
of EPA and DHA from fisheries and the development prospect.
