Abstract：Home Meal Replacement (HMR) is any purchased meal component prepared or packaged outside of the home, which is brought or delivered tothe home or taken off-premises. HMR is crated and developed by the result of the battle be- tween retail and foodservice. The main driving forces for HMR is high speed developing of economy and changing of people’s attitudes and lifestyles. The development of HMR in China depends on the following solutions: ①How to industrialize HMR; ②How to pack and serilize HMR to make the meal fresh and prolong the shelflife of the meal.
